The T7 is the model that gave Rival its’ beginning. This unit is just over 30’ in length and 11 feet at its highest point giving it excellent maneuverability in town. All T7 units are automatic transmissions.
The T7 will keep up with its’ larger counterparts while digging. The unit is extremely easy to operate with a single PTO switch that engages all back end functions. The remainder of the unit is then run off of the wireless remote system. Offloading remains manual from the hydraulic valve bank for safety reasons.
Each Rival can offload via a hoist and full opening back door, or uniquely by pressuring up the tank and allowing the spoils to leave via one of two rear valves which can be directed to a tank or other vehicle.
Rival has added several safety features including a grounding stud, ESD shutdown, retractable railing and D Rings atop the unit, as well as alarms to insure the boom is in the proper position prior to travel.
Each unit is on a tandem axle chassis, and will scale properly full of debris in most soil densities. The advantage of the tandem configuration is that it faces consistent weight allowances in most states and provinces. As you move into the T10 or other larger units, the chassis specifications and axle placements vary by jurisdiction.
The T7 is the go to unit for many Urban HDD and other utility contractors.
The Rival T7 is available with an optional Vanair Package for Air Excavating and Air Tooling and an optional Utilicor Coring System.
Rival has sold hundreds of these trucks across North America since our inception in 2016.
